Pokemon FireRed is a very interesting game. The plot of the game follows along the same lines as the first two version of Pokemon. The player is set in the imaginery land of Kanto. The aim of the game is to find and catch pokemon, using the Pokemon that is given initially. 

You, as the player, will train your Pokemon to fight new Pokemon and capture them. In doing so, your Pokemon’s skills will enhance and they can even evolve into advanced Pokemon. As you battle, you not just have to defeat the GYM Leader, but also challenge the Elite Four, while at the same time you have to put an end to the wrong-doings of Team Rocket - who are basically the bad guy in the game.

The new feature in this game is the introdution of the Sevii islands. This is an archeipalago of islands in which there is an interesting adventure awaiting the player. Here you have to collect certain materials in oder to power up a trade link. This links helps you do trade with advanced Pokemon games such as Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Ruby. This game was highly popular after release worlwide.
